San Francisco!

Wake us up in San Francisco!
Today we arrived San Francisco, California. San Francisco is known for the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz and for China Town. The city is also a financial center, and it is ranked the eighteenth in the world's top producing cities. We spent a whole day in the city, and visited the main attractions.

Something we thought was strange in San Francisco, was that many chineese lived here. Later we understood, because China Town was really big!
At this square we had dinner.

San Francisco is a city in which many movies has been filmed. That is because of the long, special streets which are very steep.
Alcatraz is a former prison. Nobody has ever accomplished to escape from here. That is because of the ice cold water and the long distance from the island to the main land.
This is a picture that we took under the Golden Gate Bridge. The weather was very misty that day, but this is how it normally looks like:

We have really experienced the U.S a lot, just by being in these two cities. The U.S. is a large country, divided into 52 states. The U.S. borders to Canada in the north and to Mexico to the south, and it lies between the Pacific ocean and the Atlantic ocean. The U.S. is the third largest country by both area and population.

We have visited Los Angeles and San Francisco in California, and the first thing we experienced was how big everything was! We felt so small in these large, beautiful cities. Here is a gigantic Apple store in San Francisco.

We felt really small under these high buildings.

Tomorrow we arrive our last city in the U.S, but also the last city of our whole trip! Stay tuned!

Annette & Sofie.
