As we feared, we didn't have Internet connection when we arrived our hotel in Calcutta, in India. But now, we have arrived the capital of India; New Delhi and are going to blog about the last two days.
We landed in India very tired. We took a power nap at the beautiful hotel in Calcutta, called The Oberoi Grand. When we wake up, we went out to look at the city. We discovered big contrasts in the city. It was a big difference between poor and rich people. Some places there were beautiful buildings and palaces, but other places there were slum and poorness.
Something we thought were funny, was that the cows in India were going by themselves in the streets. In India, the cows are holy.
After a fantastic day in Calcutta, we went to New Delhi, the capital. There we finally got Internet connection, so we could blog. Today we have seen Indias finest building the Humayon's Tomb. The building was designed in 1565. It is made by red sandstone and white marble and has a typical Mughal Char Bagh/garden. We both thought that the building deserved the title like Indias most beautiful building.
Later we went to the Raj Ghat. This is the last resting place of the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi. He was cremated here. The last words said by Mahatma "Hey Ram" is inscribed near the black stone.

We finished the day in New Delhi with shopping. It was a fun and exciting day and we learned a lot. I hope we can come back here someday.
See you soon!
